Applications

Factory automation

24V/48V power for conveyors, vision systems and robotic cells. Enclosed metal cases survive vibration and electromagnetic noise on the shop floor.

CNC & servo drives

Stable rail and low ripple protect servo amplifiers and motion controllers during fast acceleration cycles.

Process control

Sampling, weighing and flow instrumentation draw clean DC that keeps measurement accuracy over long runs.

Harsh-environment enclosures

Sealed cases with conformal-coated boards resist dust, humidity and temperature swing in outdoor or wash-down cabinets.

Enclosed, Open Frame or DIN Rail: Picking an Industrial PSU

The three builds cover different installation realities. The deciding factors are ingress protection, serviceability and whether a rail is available.

Pick enclosed when the PSU must sit in a tough, open cabinet. Pick open frame for products that already provide the housing. Pick DIN rail when a rail is present and you want fast service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What IP rating do I need for a factory floor?

IP20 enclosed is enough inside a closed cabinet. For wash-down or outdoor cabinets specify higher ingress and conformal coating.

Fan or fanless for an industrial PSU?

Fanless convection models last longer in dusty sites. Use a fan-cooled unit only when you need high wattage in a small footprint.

How does overload protection work?

XGW industrial PSUs use constant-current limiting with auto-recovery, so a brief overload drops output then resumes instead of latching off.

What operating temperature can I expect?

Standard units run -30 to +70 deg C with derating above 50 deg C. Wide-temperature builds cover -40 to +85 deg C for outdoor use.
